I have gone back and reviewed all of my posts in the end of Foster period when questions were being asked and tempers frayed, to see if I had overstepped the mark, and therefore if I owe an apology. in one post, I did question whether or not a DoF was necessary and if too much influence was held by Neil D during the Foster appointment process. It was not a pretty post; I hope it did not cause offence, it was not my intention. I do apologise without reservation if this was the case.
Far too reflective for the internet in 2024!

Well done for taking ownership.

Fantastic idea, I, m not overly confident with regards to technology of the Internet, but would happily chew on my own socks in order to safeguard our Championship status. My latest weaze is to bet £5 on our oponents to win. I kid you not, I started against Rotherham, then QPR and lastly Leicester. Luckily enough I, ve lost each bet, fantastic!!. I shall of course be putting £5 on Stoke, Millwall and Hull each to win and hopefully lose all my money!!. Superstition is a funny old thing but heh ho I am happy to go along with it if it works!!. We don't need a new manager when my tactics seem so effective. Coygs!!.
I'm not superstitious either, but wore the exact same clothing agaist Leicester as I did up at Rotherham. It worked. Why didn't I do it against QPR I hear you ask - top was in the wash!! Don't worry, it's all ready to go for Sat...

Some of the wilder accusations, insinuation and downright tripe written about Neil Dewsnip online across social media was written by people who we all know would be nowhere to be seen next season should we be relegated.

People spout their rubbish because it becomes a trend and they want to be seen doing it, even though most are just copy and pasting ill informed opinions.

Another issue is those that are now rowing back and apologising for whatever they may have previously said, why not just take a step back, look at the bigger picture and not post in haste in the first place ? Unfortunately, those that do think a bit before posting and can temper their opinions will often be labelled 'green tints' or 'apologists' for whoever is the latest go to target.

I do exactly the same thing, did it towards the end of last season & believe I’m partly responsible for us winning the league 😁, although I do an acca with a few wins for the teams we’re competing with as that increases the odds & therefore the money I could win, which I don’t want plus I’m not that lucky to win that much even if I wanted to.

Well anyway, ND looks a decent gaffer based on PPG! (Small sample size, crude measure that doesn't consider opposition, etc etc etc .................)

The amount of workload he has had since ss left is immense. He must be getting fairly fatigued mentally and physically. Expect he would like a nice long break in the summer but as DoF won't get one in fact will have even greater workload...... long time until September when the transfer window closes Neil!!

Neil is our Football Yoda with an extensive Contacts Book to match
He probably relishes every day he goes into work to work with our wonderful humble bunch of players & of course our own Mr Argyle in Nance
The players clearly respect him & it clearly strengthens the unity between the players & the staff

This thread is getting to be a bit like therapy.

Regarding what happened, it’s always the same. If you leave a vacuum of information, people will fill it with crap. Has always happened and always will. And lest we forget opinions and conjecture is what fills the majority of half-sensible platforms such as this one.

As for the harsher stuff, well life is full of lots of different people. Some of those people will have extreme views that I don’t care for, some will crave the attention. Digital media of all types has given them a new platform. It just means that we are more privy to the rubbish that was previously kept for pub bars or private conversations. Just because we can read it nowadays, doesn’t mean the same sort of crap hasn’t been spouted for eternity.

Neil Dewsnip is a sensible man. Some of it may have been hurtful (more likely to his relatives I suspect), but he knows his position and I’m confident understands what goes with the job. He’ll survive.

And as for asking people to think first before posting next time we’re in the cack, well you know, I have a funny feeling that might be a waste of keyboard time. Nothing is going to change.

Heads need to roll at a higher level… the fact Dewsnip is out in charge of a championship team shows how naive we really are…..I can just see it now….Dewsnip “ I’ll give it a go ….it’ll save you some money Simon “ Simon “ yes what a great idea.”
The whole Dewsnip running the ship is pathetic and desperately amateur….finish the season and get him as far away from the team as possible.

Whose heads should roll? Neil Deswnip’s? Andrew Parkinson’s? Maybe Simon Hallett’s?

What would YOU have done? Please don’t say that you wouldn’t have appointed Ian Foster, because the majority of Argyle fans were delighted with that appointment after the first few game. What would you have done with 7 games left of the season to ensure survival? Neil Warnock?
