There will be an entrance from outside I take it then

The building will be stand alone from the rest of the buildings/ grandstand area. The existing turnstiles & entrnce will become the entrance to the shop & ticket outlets.

Hope this helps
At last thank you Argyle nutter, now I know.Someone talking sense ;)

We know we're in trouble when he's held up as the sensible one!

Why the VERY? A silly suggestion about Internet connection seeing as we are both commenting on here. Also some people haven't got time to be surfing the Internet for answers, when you could get a quick reply here.

Apologies, that was a little sarcastic. It IS quicker to Google it though. Also, searching Home Park on this page https://www.plymouth.gov.uk/planningand ... pplication gives you all the planning documents and images you'll ever need

Cornwall building a complete new stadium for £14.3 million shows what can be done with modern material we are refurbishing a grandstand for £5 million and you can bet your bottom dollar it will be a lot more than that when they start the refurbishment.
It would be far better and far more cost effective to remove the grandstand ang buid a new one including the 2 corners, the priority now is to get the refurbishment finished not what is best for the football club.

For £5m? How do you work that out? Or is it just another Pasoti ‘surely this would be better’ statement with no actual facts or knowledge behind it?

The old HHP plan was to get a completely new stand (without seating in the corners) for £10m. This one uses the existing structure and improves and enlarges everything about it. So the £5m is for those improvements rather than wholesale demolition, followed by structural and foundation work that a wholly new building would require before you even get onto the fancy stuff.

Article from the Independent saying £14 mill to begin building an expandable 4.500 capacity stadium.

Is the 5m for Phases 1 and 2? Or do we need more money to fill the corners to get us back to a 20k capacity?

£5 Million gets plastic seats in the Grandstand, seats on the Mayflower Terrace. It does not get the extended roof over the Front of the Mayflower Terrace. It does not get the corners filled in. It does not get the connected roof.
Not sure on the capacity figures.
