That is JB's land. Nothing to do with what is talked about on this thread Tim.

I presume James is awaiting further clarification from PCC now the designated supplier of the Ice Rink has pulled out post covid.
Ian, does JB own the land where the old turnstiles have been discarded, near where the old 5 a side pitches used to be? Only reason I ask is that there are about 7 old turnstiles that are sitting there that look like they have been dumped following the renovation works on the Mayflower stand.
I don't know if there was an intention to sell them off before covid hit and that's the reason they are there, but it just seems a shame that a part of Argyle history lies there discarded.
Last time I had a look at them back in September, I'd hazard a guess they are close to 100 years old.

I wonder if there would be of any interest to Argyle Archives - although I must admit they must weight a ton literally

Some of them have been repurposed as tables in the GTs, haven't they? I'm surprised the rest haven't found a home somwhere in the stadium.

I guess the Club will use the recent questionnaire to be guided on their support for safe standing. I also guess there will have been lots of different views - and there was a very clear question which asked if you would prefer not to spend on safe standing versus other priorities. I seem to recall we were also asked where we usually sat in the ground.

No doubt the Devonport End faithful would have been most in favour - but if a large majority was either indifferent or against spending precious money on this initiative then that would explain why Argyle are not going to be early adopters. The survey results will have far more influence than unattributed social media comment

To answer your question Phil, the answer is no.

I was surprised to see them down there as well as I too think they’re very nicksbke.

It reminds me of the time in the CCC years when there was literally pallets of handbooks left in the car park for months.

I saw one on E Bay for £25!!!

Yes those turnstiles NEED saving - imagine our fathers and grandfathers pushing their way through them, they are Argyle's history. Couldnt they be used in the area outside the Grandstand where the food outlets are, would make great tables and what a talking point.

The new ticket office metal edges are already rusting and look very priced. They need some remedial work before the metal is taken completely by the tin.worm

They absolutely do weigh a tonne. My old man has one at the bottom of his garden. Was a job and a half getting it to Manadon

Nice to see that season ticket holders can have their seats to keep. Looking forward to having mine.

unfortunately the disaster of a referb is coming home to roost with not only the newly installed seats having to be replaced but the offices built being demolished.

all a very costly exercise, presumably £1m plus, that could have been put into strengthening the team
Buy cheap, buy twice. Although it wasn't that cheap was it? That Grandstand should have been demolished.

Im sure there was talk of replacing the seats in the horseshoe as they were coming to the end of there lifespan. Not sure if that is something that will be included.
Those seats must be coming to the end of their life span. That would eat into the cup money
