The sooner he leaves the better, why keep a player who thinks he's now bigger than an Argyle player?
We wouldnt put up with it in the past so why any different now?
He's an OK just above average league one, international (non league level) player, let him move on and get ourselves someone who wants to play for us.
I really disagree with this.
PC is good at our level, better than average, but probably not a must-have for many teams above L1, he's now into his last year of his contract, so we're not going to get the big fee some think we'll get; a few hundred thousand maybe.
Having an ambition to play at a higher level, or for a bigger club, shouldn't be seen as being disloyal, or showing a lack of interest, because he probably had that ambition before he even signed for us two-years ago; and he's done pretty well up til now.
My preference would be to put a price on him which is slightly above what we should expect, something like 1.5 million, hope no one buys him, and play him until January. Then, if we're doing well enough, try to extend his contract with the carrot of Argyle getting promoted, or if that doesn't look likely, let him move on for whatever we can get or allow him to run down his contract.
Either way, he leaves with a handshake and pat on the back; nothing less.
