I don't understand why all this criticism is going Brents way. He gave his budget to Adams at the start of the season. Adams was happy with the budget he had.

Adams has wheeled and dealed in the markets, both at the start of the season, during the season and now at the January window.

Adams objective for this season is avoiding relegation.

We are in a reasonably good position at the moment, but there are still a lot of very important matches to be played.

At the end of the season we will know whether he has achieved his objective.

There is no reason to criticise Adams or Brent at this moment in time.

People's expectations of our first season in this division appear to be wildly over optimistic.

We are on track - nothing to see here - move on.

Football fans have a strange logic to football and spending money, they expect someone else to spend lots of money on their team when they themselves want to spend as little as possible on watching their team.

In their own lives they like to buy things as cheaply as possible and will boast what a bargain they got, but how good a player is depends on how much he costs as obviously a player that cost a transfer fee must always be better than a free transfer.

With all the outgoings plus £125k for Jervis plus the alleged 'unspent budget' from the summer it would appear that the playing investment has actually decreased.

Clearly happy with the current position and no push for the playoffs.

I think you'll find the "unspent budget" from the Summer went on our catastrophic goalkeeping situation, but don't let that stop you from having a pop at the Chairman for no reason at all.
