I dont think there is a solution that Argyle could come up with that solves the problem.

The only way it can be sorted imo is for the stupid rule limiting the allocation to be changed.

The FA Cup is a knockout tournament and so the allocation of tickets should be 50:50 giving the fans of both teams a chance to support their team. A cut off date for the sale of away tickets should be notified at which time any unsold tickets provided for the away team are returned for home fans to buy if they want them.
Stadiums are just not set up to accommodate such a policy. It would never get past the SAG.

A fair proportion of the demographic of Season Ticket holders would struggle to stand for 90 minutes.
A somewhat offensive generalisation. Are we suggesting eugenics should play a part in away ticket distribution? A sort of Logan's Run for football fans. I personally am in my mid 60s, have one leg, Spinal Arthritis and walk with a prosthesis and two walking sticks so should I not be allowed to go and watch my team play a Premier League side? I am not that senile that I don't understand that I have to stand, a choice I have to make as I did at Wimbledon, Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland, Cheltenham and the remainder of the 12 away games I have been to this season.

The interesting aspect starts about now.
I’m wondering how many have ever been to SB? I’ve gone as a neutral V West Ham 2019 and as a red a couple of times.

My experience- it’s an awful place, many of their supporters are ‘Removed by Site Admin/ right wing, Brexit’ types. You’ll experience this to the right and left of you (east and west stands), plenty of hand gestures, the occasional coin and questions about your heritage. Happens at all stadia but this one stands alone in its vitriol
I have only been to Stamford Bridge once as an ‘away fan’, it was an FA Cup match so double the usual number of away fans, just remember the absolute chaos trying to get in before the game, appeared totally disorganised and how grim the concourse under the away section was.

I think this guy is so talented so to see these injuries he has been having l feel gutted for him.

It annoyed me we purchased him though because Lowe kept playing him at left wing back. The guy is a two footed winger.

There is a case when Lowe was here we had two of the best league one wingers and yet we play a system with no wingers. It’s a puzzle to me.

If he can regain the level of fitness he had before then it’s a no brainer keeping him. Just play him somewhere in the team he isn’t exposed as much.

But has he got a spare ticket? :ROFLMAO:

Is there someone more deserving than another flexi holder?

Surely what you're suggesting would be just as bad as an ST holder buying and passing onto someone they deem as a deserving fan?
I think there are plenty of fans out there whether exiles attending mainly away games or regular home fans who pay at the gate week in week out every bit as deserving. My ticket certainly wouldn't have gone to a "glory hunter" only interested in a one off big game.
Due to the postponement of the two Xmas/New Year home fixtures I will probably only see 2 home games this season and 4 away being an exile living abroad. I will also see that my 4 unused flexi home tickets find their way to deserving recipients.
As for ST holders, it is their right to claim their ticket. Should they choose to pass it on to an "undeserving fan" it would be for their conscience. It isn't something I would choose to do nor most others I hope.

My point was though. Say 100 tickets make it to Flexi. You buy one and give it away to someone you deem worthy, you've effectively deprived another flexi fan of that ticket.

By judgement you're deeming them less worthy than the person you selected just because you can.

No-one should be passing on tickets, if you can't go then you can't go.

Perhaps buying a ST gives you the ‘right’ to make a choice when it comes to taking up the option of priority when it comes to cup games, as described within the sales pitch PAFC deliver to entice persons to by said ST’s?

So when we get through and pull Liverpool in the next round at home, you would be happy to give over the whole of the Lyndhurst to the away fans?

Oh! let's amend that then: I know that you probably have no idea how offensive you are being.
No idea where your over reaction is coming from. All I said was a fare amount of ST holders would find it difficult to stand up for 90 minutes. If you find anything offensive in that then I will say WOW!

I’m not usually a season ticket holder. I can’t get to every home game because of work commitments so it’s just not worth it for me. ( I usually get to about 15-16 games at home plus a few away) With the Chelsea game in mind I bought a half season ticket. I’ll still probably miss 3 or 4 home games but was happy to lose financially in order to secure a Chelsea ticket. Seems a perfectly rational thing to do - Argyle gain from the deal and I get a ticket. I would imagine there are quite a few others, who are legitimate and loyal supporters who have done the same thing.
So basically, you have paid to jump tte queue. The fairest response was argyle should have suspended half season ticket sales as soon as the draw was made.

Willis, I knew before the season started that I would be unable to attend more than about 4 home games and 4 away games. I bought a flexi to give me a better chance of a ticket for one or two of my away games which might otherwise have been sold out before general sale and also to make sure I got a ticket for any big cup games home or away I might be able to attend. I think there will be regular away attendees and regular potd home fans more deserving than me of a Chelsea ticket currently and probably some other flexi holders. I would have no issue with making sure one of them benefitted had I had a ticket. I am deeming nobody less worthy, you do seem to be judging all flexi holders as more deserving however. The club has to have a system of apportioning tickets and unfortunately many exiles suffer. Is a London of Birmingham based fan who travels all over the country watching Argyle away 15 times a season and 6 times at home less deserving of a Chelsea ticket than a Plymouth based flexi holder who might watch 8 at home and 2 away? The system will never be perfect and there will always be winners and losers. I bought my flexi ticket and what I do with my unused tickets is for me to decide nobody else and my conscience is clear.
