What ‘unpopular opinion’ do you have?

I never got the euphoria over Barry Jones. I saw him as a crowd pleaser who flattered to deceive. In this day and age of recorded "assists" I think he would have been found wanting. And our results during his time here probably back that view.
Some would say that Barry Jones was the best defensive asset Argyle ever had. When the defence were taking a kicking, give the ball to Barry and he'd dribble it around for 5 mins taking the heat off and giving the defence time to re-form.

Be interesting to compare audiences when Argyle's game is on same time as Womens Premier League Sunday
I've noticed the BBC do similar. If you're reading through their headline stories, unless you know players / managers names, it's not apparent that it's a WSL item until you get to somebody's pronouns. There's very little 'gossip' outside of the Premier / WSL or on a slow news day as far as they're concerned, the French, Italian and Spanish are of more interest.

Did a bit of research on Womens Super League, as trumpeted by the BBC in particular, but also by Sky. The average attendance is just 1,000, despite ticket prices for adults averaging less than £10 and with a lot of discounted ticket schemes. That's barely on a par with men's 5th tier football and not nearly as important to most people as the ultra-woke BBC would like us to think.

Anybody know how to find the tv viewing figures?

It's not really tearing up any trees.

Men's football, and the Woodland Trust, can breathe a sigh of relief ...

Out of interest, how long do you need to be logged onto a BBC channel in order to count as being as a "viewer"? ... if it's only a few seconds, I can be counted as being an avid viewer of both Women's Football, and Loose Women.

I was going to post one on women's football too, the only problem I have with it is that it's just more focus on the big/greedy six clubs. As the top women's clubs are largely the same as the men.

I can accept Man City getting 10x more coverage than Argyle, but I find it slightly hard to take if their women's team also now get more coverage and League One is ranked below WSL in the pecking order... despite a fraction of the attendances/quality/interest etc etc.

To be fair, it's likely that the BBC is pushing it more purely because it has the rights, and it doesn't currently for the Football League.
