Apart from the guy working on the west-end cladding rails the area at the back of the grandstand has been like a ghost town today.

Yet, when I was up there visiting the Ticket Office Midday ish, I saw lots of people working on the front of the Grandstand. Deceptive things these webcams !

A crane on site at the rear of the grandstand this morning, as well as the one at the front of the stand installing the terrace concrete.

I can't help thinking, particularly after the GoS photos, that it would have been cleaner and easier to have knocked down the old extension and rebuilt the same as the new extension. Cost difference unknown of course.

Hard to see much from the webcam, but it looks like extension steels being installed at the east end today.
Looks like roof beams the same as on the new western extension, but I don't recall seeing any uprights on the GoS coverage.

Pretty sure there were uprights going in this morning, though it is the far side of the old boardroom so obviously we can't see much. There was work being done on the old boardroom roof last week, I suspect the roof beams will just sit on the old boardroom in that section and it will then just be clad to match.

The crane has moved up to the west end to lift reinforcement mesh up to the first floor of the extension, so looks like we'll see concrete being poured there soon

Thanks Kevin.

The sloping beams were what we could see earlier from cam #3, but the last shot of that area on GoS didn't show any footings for the uprights as far as I can remember, they have gone in very recently. We can now see the overall outline of the rear of the grandstand. I still wonder why it is narrower than the old extension!

So having seen it this evening and looked again at the planning images, I think the old extension gets completely swallowed up. The steel installed today comes out further than the steel at the west end and the old extension.

Concrete pump back again this morning

That will be the concrete for the first floor then. Same as they did for the GT's building.

Apologies if slightly off topic here but is the plan to start the season with the temporary changing rooms and release the new facilities as one big bundle or do you think that we will be using the new changing rooms from August. Thanks in advance,
