Hard to say who the MOM was. No one stood out sadly. Tafari Moore looked handy and Carey provided any creativity we had. Southend out-hustled us pretty much everywhere on the field. We looked week. Our great passing, which was so good last season, seems to have left us. There is a lot still to work on.

Early days of course but that was f*cking awfully bad.

Only single positive we can take is that we somehow got a point because that’s as bad of a performance I can remember.

That was awful. One shot on target which was the pen I think.
At least Songo stopped them playing through us and made some passes when he came on.

Bizarrely we looked better witg Sawyer and Songo on but no attaxking intent.

Playing poor pre season opposition biting us in the arse not goid enough today. Worrying times?

2 games into a new season? I’m not worried yet. Poor performance? Sure was. Its still foolish to believe so early into a new season that a teams early performances are an indicator as to how a season will unfold, far too early.

Exactly look at last season for example.Trouble is fans haven’t got the patience.Team has to win nearly every game,or majority just moan about the team and performance,despite only TWO games played.Expecting huge essays later about how poor the team was today :roll:

Team after team will play the ball into the channels and either beat him for pace or win a free kick and get him booked as happened today.
Sadly Wooton wasn't much more mobile. We look there for the taking if the opposition have a smidgen of pace.
He'll score from a few set pieces and his defensive clumsiness will be overlooked

Nope,

There's a gulf in team shape and quality evident today. We looked slow, lethargic, lacked composure and presence.

Early days yes but 2 games in and although i agree its not time to panic it is a major concern given that we have our team all but assembled for the season.

We didn't compete today, we just couldn't for 90% and for a team at home that is a major cause for concern whatever period of the season we are at.
