His first half performance was typical of a player completely lacking confidence and your assessment was justified. However, I thought he looked far better in the second half and that Wilson was the bigger liability. Gillesphey is in danger of taking the slot once occupied by Mellor and Riley. Like them, no matter what he does, any decent contribution will be overlooked. I can't imagine the furore if it was he and not Wilson who gave the ball away for their goal. As ever, not an argument, just a view.I’m sorry, but Gillesphey just isn’t good enough.

Honestly try it with a ball you will see what I mean! It’s like an illusionNever over the quadrant line, never.
You're right Doyley, it is so misleading viewed from behind as the camera was positioned. When I did a referee course years ago the instructor laid out a strip of toilet paper and told us to stand back a metre or so. He rolled a ball slowly forward and asked us to say when the whole of the ball was over the line. When the last of us said it was he asked us to step forward and there was still a few inches to go which surprised us all.Honestly try it with a ball you will see what I mean! It’s like an illusion
Thought Law looked poor. And Wilson had a mare. Should have been sent off. Gave ball away for their goal and lost man for the late hesderIf Cooper is going to break down every time he comes back then it's time to have an honest think about his future. Law was better in his short period on the pitch and Grant can play in either of Cooper's positions (LWB, CM).
2,600. Magic of the cup?!
The fact that we looked no better than mid table League 2 team?50 mins for Cooper, 90 mins for Mayor, Ennis back, Conor Grant rested, Mike Cooper save in added time avoids a replay.
Into next round what’s not to like.
Doesn't really matter though does it? Players regularly encroach yards for throw insYou're right Doyley, it is so misleading viewed from behind as the camera was positioned. That performance that's what not to like. Cooper still looks way short of starting, we now know Mayor and Broom can't play in the same team so it will be Mayor (who did ok today).50 mins for Cooper, 90 mins for Mayor, Ennis back, Conor Grant rested, Mike Cooper save in added time avoids a replay.

Not sure what your point is? Doyley and I were responding to djd 145's comment that the ball was not in the quadrant for Houghton's corners. Where do throw ins come into it?Doesn't really matter though does it? Players regularly encroach yards for throw ins
