Do we need any words/letters on the seats at all?

Seat colours could be alternate green blocks and white blocks - might look quite good.

Edit to add - green, white and black. Just so nobody gets upset. As long as the green isn't too dark. 3 x green 2 x white 2 x black blocks.

Need to identify the ground on TV before the stand fills up and after matches. Don't forget that the gantry is now on the opposite side of the ground and is staying there, so the old PAFC on the horseshoe is redundant.

Come to think if it, I don't think I've ever referred to us as the Pilgrims!

Agreed. Its alright as a nick name but I wouldn't refer myself as a Pilgrim. Just as I suspect no Everton fan would refer to themself as aToffee or Fulham fan refer to themself as a Cottager.

Side note, I'd love it if we were just known throughout the football world as Argyle seeing as we have the unique name.

Maybe ARGYLE on the seats could've helped with this "branding"?

Agree with that, but not necessarily in this instance.

Really think that the word Argyle should be on the badge. Would be pretty easy too, to get Plymouth Argyle in instead of PAFC.

Brilliant idea, but sadly nearly impossible using just green/white seats.
The 2 end blocks are 28 seats across and 13 seats high giving 364 seats in each end block. The others have fewer as the premium seats are wider.

Getting a detailed image like the Mayflower logo into a 28x13 grid can't be done, I've tried, this is how it came out...

... A complete unrecognisable mess!
If you want to maintain the accurate aspect ratio too, its even worse!

It would be possible IF the seats were custom painted, would cost more money though so I can't see it happening.
This was just quick but gives you an idea...

If the custom painted logo/seat method was actually a real possibility, they could do ARGYLE just from white seats and put the Mayflower logo in the middle of the Mayflower stand?

Nice idea but it is a no-go as painted seats would be constantly needing repainting. Using different coloured seats is the common and easiest way.

The GoS photos show how badly the horseshoe green seats have faded, imagine the effect if they were painted.

Get the point AG, but, other clubs manage. Know there is more sunshine in SW then the "grim North" but look at Deepdale. Really like what they've done with Shankly and Finney stands. See link.
