Offers taken on my Season Ticket

I find all this ' Real Fan ' stuff highly amusing.

Are the ' Real fans ' the ones who turn up every week , sit in silence and then boo the team off at the end of the game ?

The only ones who ' support' the team are the 50 or so in FV and good luck to them.

If the OP has paid for his season ticket then the club has his money, he has done his bit, and the fact he won't be there to boo the team off is surely a good thing isn't it ? Unlike the ' real supporters' who will.

As I say, Amusing.

Had enough, waste of time and effort, oh and money.

One adult+ and one child season ticket for sale.

the word NAFFI comes to mind - No Ambition and F***all Interest, sums Argyle up at the moment

bye then !

Sad day to see the OP decide enough is enough, for any one who has read these threads for a while they should know that djg145 has been posting for a long time (see above) and if memory serves me well was mainly sat in the positive camp.

Sad to see that the current few years has caused such a drastic act and hope it was posted in a fit of anger. I hope djg145 can keep going as well as bringing along a child who will carry on the support of Argyle for years to come hopefully.

We all feel crap about the current state of the club, but djg145, from your current dedication you will of been through this before and somehow it will get better.

Stick with it if you can and then next season pick your games and go POTD

Can the OP update us on how the sale is going ?

Would love to know how much you were offered for it and was the person buying it escorted by 2 men in an ambulance wearing white coats ? :coat:

Now THIS is what I call a real fan.

It also represents Argyle's best chance of getting the ball in the net these days. Lends a whole new meaning to the tired old cliché of the manager asking the fans to get behind the team, eh?

Chadwick still wouldn't score

Welcome back to the world. Tin hat on, but I gave up going two seasons ago and instead invested in a season ticket at Reading (3 miles from home). Granted, last season was a great season to purchase a season ticket at Reading and this season I have been watching Premiership football for a great price as a renewing season ticket holder. However, the refreshing bit throughout last season and this is that I now watch live football and don't care who wins/draws/loses. Ok, it ain't my home town team, I ain't supporting Argyle financially like I used to, and this will no doubt go against what some see as being a 'true' football supporter. However, in all honesty, and after many years following Argyle to all parts of the country in all types of British weather and at great inconvenience to my bank balance and family, I really don't care. The club is (currently) well managed, the fans around me (mostly old-timers) have a bit of banter being joined by an Argyle fan, and I get home in time for dinner. Dare I say it, but I am now enjoying football again.

Good for you
My lad's a Reading supporter (he was born there) I tried to instil a love of the greens when we beat them 4-1 in the championship. Silly sod opted to support Reading, just think what he's missed

Anyone who's survived this long and is still buying season tickets can hardly be criticised for their staying power. The plastics left a long time ago. Hold on to your season ticket , just find a better way to spend your Saturday afternoon if the misery and shocking football gets a bit much

This "real fan"/"proper fan" stuff is laughable. A Plymouth Argyle supporter, for me, is someone who simply has Argyle as their first team. I appreciate other teams when I watch a game (as I love football) but Argyle are the team I want to win above all others (that includes England), they're the team I watch and they're the team I talk about first on a Monday morning at work when someone asks me about "the football" at the weekend.

People support teams in many different ways. If someone has already bought a season ticket this year but doesn't want to go any longer, that's perfectly acceptable to me. If we get weather like the last home game again, I might have some doubts about getting out of my pyjamas and trudging up to Home Park.

I think your definitions are incorrect hairy.

Someone who has Argyle as their number one team but does not go to matches or buy season ticket etc I would classify as a follower.
This also applies to most of the plastics who live in Plymouth and support Man U/Liverpool/Leeds etc They are not supporters they are followers.

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Plastic fans buy shirts and stuff. The amount of revenue teams like Man Utd, Liverpool and erm, Leeds (a weird one to pick) from selling shirts, lamp shades and coats for dogs is more than we make from ticket sales. A 'plastic' does contribute financially and therefore 'supports' their club.

I know what you mean though and it annoys me when I hear janner voices in my office on a Monday bemoaning the penalty that Man Utd didn't get but that's life isn't it. I'd like to see the band Pig Destroyer have a number one single but it's never going to happen while the likes of JLS and One Direction are releasing singles.
