Congratulations to Jon and John but I won't have Symons representing me so therefore I wish to have my Trust membership cancelled and I will confirm this by email.
How pathetic and childish, why do some people revel in dividing the fanbase. You on here, Newell on twitter yet when do you stand for anything elected. Talk about double standards, where are your principles when people like Jameson get on to the PASB unelected after the way he has behaved during the last year, where is your castigation of Hooper after his antics and failure to answer simple questions? How long before the undermining of the trust begins again, before the multi accounbts start again? It seems like the mobilising of the troops has begun already.

There obviously is/has been stuff going on between people that the rest of us don't know the half of and so cannot possibly make judgements about the rights and wrongs of the stances being taken. You only have to glance a ATD to get some insight into the intense loathing and hatred between people that exists. I've read all kinds of stuff about web/email bullying, threats of violence, dirty tricks etc. It's impossible to know what is true, what is false, what is being exaggerated to favour a particular person/stance. The sad thing is that whilst that cascades up to infect PASOTI, the Trust, the GASB, it probably relates to just a few individuals. I think it is what happens when people realise there is power and influence to be gained or when they fail to gain that power/influence or when those that gain it share different views from those that would like it.

To some extent, it actually makes me wish that I could just switch off Argyle and live life without it.

The thing is Doc some go about things quietly, others love to make a public show. All postey had to do was quietly resign from the trust if he wished to do so. The same for Ian Newell. One chose to stir it up on Twitter and one chose a public display of petulance on here. Now the divides in the fanbase are bared once more. Some people are great in times of war but a disaster in peacetime or what at least should be peacetime.

Like I wrote above, unless someone actually explains what has actually been going on I don't think the rest of us can really pass judgement. This (and related matters) has been a semi-public 'war' for ages now - in fact, I'd say almost exactly one year to be precise. But there has definitely been an increase in its visibility in recent days - perhaps that observation is linked to the timescale that I have noted.

Thanks GJ "Fat ZeeZan jumps in with both chins" Charming.
Although you don't know me, and clearly don't understand that all I was saying is that I am sad to have drifted apart from someone.. but hey ho, Andy knows where I was coming from and that's what matters.

This is a thread about the trust election. If you wish to know the answer to your question then try the main board. Don't stir the pot and then come on here all innocent.

Wrong again JJ, this IS the main board.

That's my point, most people just want to read about their team, not pseudo politicos, spouting off.

I went to Rotherham on Saturday, with 30+ others in a coach, of like minded people, i.e. Argyle fans.

Was any of this utter rubbish talked about, was it hell.

Get over yourself, as for stirring the pot, I made TWO comment on Twitter, check back with your mother ship, and see how many hundreds and hundreds of hours are spouted about such rubbish.

OK, the Trust have decided not to hold an election, because of lack of interest I would assume, and they pick a few people, one of which I happen to dislike intensely, have I gone on about it? I made one comment, on Twitter and let it go, now I have no doubt that ADT will go on and on about it, and in five hours time, I will have threatened Symons, attempted to burn down his house and put sh*t up the exhaust of his car.

Anyway, back to football, I wonder if Pursey's toe is better, and I wonder whether Madjo was pulled off for an injury on Saturday, this is what matters to REAL fans.

In my opinion (and that's all it is - MY opinion) the real damage done by the period of administration, is that we seem to have this group of supporters who think politics instead of football, and to be honest JJ, it bores the beejesus out of most Greens I know.

That's it, it'll be at least another two months before I post again.

I thouht the main board was about football. Why is all this arguing about the Trust on here. It should be on the trust bit of the site.

There isn't one anymore.

So disinterested in the 'politics' that you choose to tweet about it, one because of personal politics and one to the most outspoken critic of the Trust who has just happened to have been elected to the PASB.

John <sigh>, when someone tweets, 'I don't like the bloke' - Does that really mean I'm part of a campaign?

Like I said to another poster a few hours ago, get over yourselves. This isn't real life.

Anyway, what did you think of the match on Saturday, did you agree with the substitutions?

Ok it was the right board, only because the other had gone. It was completely off topic however and just trying to trivialise things. If people wish to talk about the team they will post on football related threads, if they wish to post on other topics they will choose to do so.
Mother ship? What sort of cheap throwaway comment is that? I like several hundred others, many disenchanted with the path Pasoti has taken over the last year choose to read both sites, I read this site more often and very rarely post on the other. I know not a single person from either site in real life.
Yes the trust have appointed some new board members due to lack of interest much the same as the PASB have appointed several members of their board following a railroaded and dubious election process. You say you made only 2 comments on twitter, it is quite easy to stir the pooh with just 1 comment. No you haven't gone on about the intense dislike you have for one of the new members on here or on twitter but didn't hold back in the PM you sent me for some reason.
Perhaps when you are talking to some of your REAL fans and REAL friends you will ask one of them if he will be writing to the club and the civic leaders this morning expressing his shame and indignation at some of the chanting emanating from the Green Army on Saturday on a subject particularly close to his heart.
Your penultimate sentence is irony at it's best and as for your last sentence I was going to say I'll believe that when I see it as you just can't stop yourself but then you proved my point within minutes.

Two fans, seperated by age, but joined by the inabilty to read.

I said, the average Argyle fan doesn't want to read about all this rowlocks, is that so hard to understand?

Perhaps a massive great table would be the answer, and have a proper debate, but then again, that would mean people actually meeting wouldn't it?

As for REAL friends JJ, I have many, the minority of, I have met from this site (some bleddy good ones as well), however the majority, take the pee out of all the shenanigans o nthe net and that's my main point.

As for Tony Cholwell, let me state now, he's an aquaintance, he's annoyed the hell out of me in the past, and no doubt he'll do it again in the future, are we 'friends', possibly not, but I tell you what, he'll meet me, we'll have a row, and we've had a few, and we'll shake hands every time we meet each other. That's normal I think, don't you?

You mention my PM to you, again, I make no apologies for that, I PM'd you something, that I would choose not to say in public, again, I think that's understandable, and unlike ATD, the Mods would not allow defaming comments on this site, which is why, I choose to continue to read this one and not the alternative.

Meet me face to face, as many hundreds have, and you'll get the truth as I see it, and I'm certainly not scared of having an opinion, but that's what is called a conversation, and that's the way most people like to conduct themselves.

Do I agree with TC's post the other day, of course I didn't, I thought it was ill advised, however, I didn't join in with the kicking, it's what stinks about the internet, and most sensible people, the hundreds that read this site every day, don't like.

You don't have to be rabid on this site to be heard, you're not allowed to swear, you're not allowed to link to porn and you're certainly not allowed to bully and harrass for month and months on end.

Myself, Webby, Ian De Lar and Mark Pedlar have had diabolical things said about us, ZeeZan has been mocked for her size (clever that, on an impressionable young girl, isn't it) - So please don't spout rubbish about one post from Ian De Lar and one Tweet from me, causing a divide!!

God dammit Newell, I've spent my time defending you recently on ATD and you go and post something like this.

Most of what you've posted is really harsh and very personal - all the stuff you moan about coming the other way.

If you want to turn up at an away game, sit with the players and wear an Argyle tie and a suit (and get your photo taken with legendary Rotherham celebrities), that's OK but don't come on here spouting about being a real fan - if you were such a real fan, you'd be in the away end with every one else.

I'm rather miffed, I can tell you

And stop the anti-trust stuff too - it wasn't that long ago when the whole sorry Deepthroat stuff was happening.
