Thanks to this thread, I've booked both of mine. It took a few attempts as I guess the site was busy, but it's done now and gives me something to plan around. I wish I'd looked earlier ! Ironically, about 30 minutes after booking, my letter in inviting me to book, landed on the doormat.

Booked mine without problems and I'm 51 so looks like they are filling up slots if you wanted to 'chance your arm'

Similar in this household. I saw the news on this thread, told my wife (she’s 58) and then her letter dropped through the letterbox. She’s booked in for Thursday next week.

Do they tend extend the age range downwards in single years (e.g. 55 next) or in chunks (e.g. all over 50s next)?

Not sure how it goes ahead now. It was in chunks previousl,I expect it will continue. My wife had hers locally after a text invite. The range of venues is smaller online though. I think the online bookings are for the big centres, GP led bookings are the smaller local ones. My nearest is China Fleet Club but it didn't appear on the list. Not worried as I now get to see inside the new facilities !

My 2nd jab is early June.

Priority group 8 is actually 55 and over so I wouldn't be surprised to see it tweaked very shortly

Not wishing to be a killjoy but some I know have booked ‘early’ on the website but been turned away on the day, as ‘it’s not your turn’.

Hope you get through ok though!
