You are right- Exeter have a couple of over 20 year olds in & around their 1st team- one of whom got sent off at Harrogate at the weekendatWe're being completely outclassed and lucky it's only 1-0.
Tbf, without knowing much about either team, it seems like Exeter's is mostly players aged around 21 who have played men's football out on loan at non league clubs, where as ours is youth teamers of 17/18.
As you'd expect with that age difference, they're just much faster and stronger, particularly the centre backs compared to our strikers Shirley and Massey who aren't getting a kick. Randell and Law are more able to compete physically and look our best players.
Hopefully tempting fate by suggesting that we're very unlikely to get back in the game, which would be a shame for the younger lads' development.
They are also playing a 33 year old who is using the game for match fitness - you can see the gulf between the 2 teams
