This would be a real injection of pure quality and experience into the centre of our team, at the time when we need it most.

I must admit I don’t understand the financials of it though, with the money Hayden must be on - five times our top earner, surely?
I thought we had Houghton?

This is one rumour that has veracity. He'll be in Argyle green soon...I hope.

Hope not.

….. most of those ‘investors’ left us. 😂

From Plymouth Live.

"Foster added there was no truth in reports of Argyle being interested in Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden, who has been recalled from a loan spell in Belgium with Standard Liege, or that Ovie Ejaria had been on trial with them this week."
Managers never comment on trialists, simply they don't want other clubs snatching them from under their nose if doing well. Anyways had he done well, by now argyle would have snapped him up as s free agent.

Once you build the reputation from working well with young talent, any player under 22 sitting in a premiership academy will be linked to us.

There is a formula if they are trying to keep it on the down low like "not currently interested" or "no plans" or "no contact" to baldly state Argyle have no interest in signing him suggests to me that they have no interest in signing him.
Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with this. I think if there a chance of us signing him we'd have said something along the lines of "we don't comment on other team's players". This felt like a definite "no" to me, which is a shame as I think he could have been exactly what we need. Affordability could have been an issue though.

It still baffles me the number of people who seem desperate to prove they're "in the know" with this kind of stuff when clearly they know bugger all! All very odd.
