Argyle linked with Isaac Hayden (signs for QPR)

The very reliable Pete O'Rourke says we're in for Isaac Hayden, who is being discussed on the Jan transfer thread but probably deserves his own thread.

He's a 28-year-old 6'2" midfielder with 130-odd Premier League appearances and 65 Championship games under his belt. He was also in the England age-group set-up at the same time as ND.

This would be an unbelievable signing.

"He’s a quality player- VERY injury prone. Plays the game as full pelt- he would be a beast in your midfield. He was unlucky towards the end of his time at Newcastle with the emergence of the Longstaffs and then Joelinton. Couldn’t get a game. Yep, he's had knee problems but made eight successive starts for Liege up until the end of November. His problem over there seemed to be that he wasn't particularly happy and the coach seemed to publicly round on him when his performances dropped off.

He needs a fresh start and where better than HP? Reviving careers is practically our MO.
