Nice. All three shirts are green, white and black and that's my first and last benchmark of our kits being 'proper'.

The SLITS (still living in the seventies) get their precious emerald green somewhere for a season and that's great too.

In this glorious era of rainbow free kits Argyle have used very creatively the full swatch of green shades to produce the same 'difference' each year that spaffing out all the god awful non Argyle 'united nations of colours' did. We can have new and contrasting kits each year WITHOUT diluting our heritage and identity.

We've had mint green, lime green and now emerald green on the away kit, fantastic. Different, but not alien. They're all still green but they're not our trademark green which rightly remains on the home kit. Well done Argyle.

Will I buy one?, no, at least not right now. I thought that ship had sailed due to the indignity of middle aged spread. But as I slim right down to perfect BMI through this year due to the mother of all diets, who knows what the Christmas sales might bring?

I'm not keen on the black white and green it looks clumsy should have been green and white but light green as the only clash would be forest green not really sure if any of those kits are suitable when we play at forest green though maybe 3rd but they have black and green as well
But our true colours are green and black.

A few non-Argyle supporting friends have separately got in touch to say the 96 away shirt is 'incredible' and 'winning the shirts so far'. So must be doing something right, if neutrals love it.

Agree, but as i stated our true colours are, well, you know.
Are they? I'm not looking for an argument, I promise, but I always think of Argyle's colour being green, black and white.

I grew up watching us play in the Pilgrim and Umbro shirts of the 80s, which were green shirts, black shorts and white socks. Before and after that there have been green and white kits with no or little black, as have there been green and black kits with little or no white.

I guess, as has often been discussed in kit threads, it depends what the kit colour was during your formative years as an Argyle fan. However, history suggests that white has been a part of Argyle's colours since as early as 1903.

I assumed it was some sort of extra Puma branding. However, I googled Puma branding and can’t see that graphic on any other Puma product images.

The big cat does look kind of Heraldic, though, like it might be from a coat of arms or something.

Maybe another nod to the city coat of arms like the turrets and cross pattern on the home kit teaser? Perhaps one of the lions that hold the shield with the St Andrew’s cross and the turrets.

The only thing is, the big cat looks more puma-like than lion-like!?

🤷🏽‍♂️ Just thinking out loud really.
Turns out it is Puma branding. Rotherham's away kit launch graphic has exactly the same image on it. Oh my stoopid brain!? 🤦‍♂️

Why does the 3rd shirt have turquoise when it could have had the same green as the away shirt? I cant see why we should ever need to wear it anyway.
