More of a suggestion than a rumour but...
How about Maz Kouhyar?
Originally found by Walsall playing 5 aside in Birmingham, they gave him a deal before he tore his ACL and needed 18 months out of football.
Played for Hereford FC this season, got rave reviews and about 8 man of the match awards in 3 months.
Then he got poached by York City FC, went to them mid season (because at that level you just can) and slotted straight into their side winning promotion.

24 years old and full Afghanistan international, tricky winger.
Completely stood out for two teams at Conference North level (the standard Panutche Camara was playing at before Crawley found him), so chances are he is a football league level player already who could benefit from proper coaching.
Could be a diamond in the rough, those who have seen him play say he is fantastic.

ld love a tricky winger to be honest.

However, haven’t we got one? And the trouble is he plays in central midfield.

George Cooper was a winger we played at LWB. Unless we changing our system this season, personally l think an attacking full back would be a better option.

Think your suggestion is good. It’s just more surely about players who can do a job in our system.

Good shout. Reminds me of Erhun Oztumer who I saw play so matches for Dulwich and it was clear he was on a different ability level. He's playing in same team as Balotelli now in Turkey.

My mate is York mad and loves ‘Maz’. But Conference North is a massively different standard as he often attests to (as he recalls the halcyon days of beating Man Utd).

The Peterborough Chairman has said Ryan Broom won’t be returning to us on loan next season. So it’s either a Permanent transfer or we’ve moved on.

Apart from Wilson, Bolton, Scarr, Galloway, Gillesphey, Houghton, G Cooper, Ennis and Hardie amongst others. And we paid a fee for several of those.

Why do people post such carp?
The poster has only joined very recently and has so far proposed we get rid of three contracted players, bring in players on £20k pw or contracted elsewhere and bring back Lapado.

Draw your own conclusion.

I suggest we move on and don’t entertain paying a inflated transfer fee that no doubt Peterborough will try to get. We need a midfielder that can score goals. Broom isn’t that man imo.

Would be a great signing
He would be, if he wasn't too expensive. However we have to be a bit cuter in selecting our targets , and realistic as to who we might get. Looking at those who scored a lot of goals in our league last season isn't often going to be viable. Stockton is a northerner, 28 years old, in contract, and will attract a significant fee from one of the many clubs sniffing around him. Is that the sort of player that we are likely to go for? Would be pay a fee for someone his age? Could we match the salary that other clubs offer? Stockton won't be playing in green next season, except possibly at Hibernian.
