That we won't get promoted without player x, as if they are irreplaceable. Sometimes that may be true (Carey?) but not in this case. What always gets said?

The simple fact is we have no idea how much we offered or how much his agent wants. At the end of the day, unless you are on enough money not to worry about money then you will always go where the money is. So if pans agent say, i can get you more then so be it.
I will miss him as i feel his energy and drive was soo missed when he was out of the team. But good luck to him and thankyou for your effort at argyle.
We move on.
How do you know he wants to leave now? All we know is that his agent doesn't want to lock him into an extended deal.A bad decision not to break the bank for a player who wants to leave?
How about Ebou Adams (Forest Green) as a direct replacement? New contract offered to him and opportunity to step in.

You can't make a player sign a contract- Pan was afforded a lot of time to decide whether he wanted to sign the improved contract or not
We are no longer a basket case that his pushed around & walked over- Argyle has to protect Argyle & if it means we get an undisclosed fee for Pan than so be it
Pan always gives 100& but he has to earn a living , the same as Joe Public - footballers careers are short so he has to make as much as he can in the years he has left as a footballer
I wish him well, wherever he ends up- but we will go on as a football club & one player does not make a football team
