So if I put a fiver on Argyle to win the tie I have effectively thrown away a fiver, is that right?
In an one off match anything can happen. Probability is saying you've done your money but a red card and a penalty in the last 10 minutes could happen...Provided we aren't 5-0 down by then. Who knows?

I have an over 65 ticket available for the match at face value (£15). You would need to collect from Newton Abbot tomorrow.

We can only play what is put in front of us- the players will relish the experience & no doubt try exceptionally hard to give a good account of themselves & not be overwhelmed as soon as they walk out on the pitch
It is a one off game 90 plus minutes 11v11
Whatever the result is the players will leave everything on the pitch & have no regrets
One thing that would be the cherry on the top come full time on Saturday is if we are able to score a goal against the European Champions - now that would be special 💚

As they didn't have a game last week I would be very surprised if they don't give their first team players a run out before the World Club. Which is quite scary really.
I think it's very likely too especially as their first game in the club world cup is a very easy one. Let's be honest though they can field two teams of internationals and it will be nothing like the mix of second and third choice players we faced at Anfield.

Agreed. I find it very amusing that some on here thinking we can nick a result. I would love nothing more but seriously?
My hope is we can stay in the game long enough to make it worthwhile for everybody who has made the long journey.

Bradford at Chelsea, Hereford v Newcastle, Colchester v Leeds in their prime and many others over the years. It does happen but rarely. Personally I fancy Chelsea to cruise to a 4 goal win without busting a gut. I hope it's closer and we run them close but I am much more concerned that we bag 10 points from our next 4 league games. I am however really looking forward to the game on TV after being unable to get a ticket as a Flexi member, it's not often we play in front of 40,000 in a top stadium against the champions of Europe.

My hope is that we score at least one and we avoid a drubbing.

These are rather good.

I don t think there's a realistic chance we can stifle them like we did to Liverpool at Anfield. Derek parked 10 busses up there and had the players to suit. Our current squad wouldn't know how to play like that even if they were given an actual bus.

Our best chance of staying in the game is to score, which we're perfectly capable of given Chelsea haven't exactly been watertight at the back in recent months.

It'll be very interesting to see if SS tweaks the formation and approach for this one. Surely we'll need our wingbacks to sit a bit deeper? And will he take out a striker to play another DM alongside Houghton? Not to try and stifle them but just to give the back three a bit more protection.

My heart says we'll score , but my head says they'll score more
Anyway we'll show them what a proper away support sounds like!
