Have been at home last couple of Boxing Days. Also at home middle Xmas Saturday last year .Also at home Good Friday(Southend)this will be moved to Friday I imagine,so this compensates for Easter Monday. As a London based supporter I am fairly comfortable with these fixtures including Gillingham away last game .I am slightly confused why the last games in league one are showing as 17.30 on the Saturday when last year the final league games in league one were 12.00 on the Sunday. The last games in league 2 were 17.30 on the Saturday

All three EFL divisions conclude on the same weekend in 2018. This wasn't the case last season when L1 finished a week ahead in order to bring the L1 play-off final a week earlier. This was because the FA Cup final was scheduled in for the bank holiday weekend which previously has been when we enjoyed the play-off weekend for all three leagues.

Really???

Absolutely awful fixture list for me personally. Can make Walsall and Wimbledon away but any others and I will have to use my ever shrinking annual leave. The joys of shift work :-/

Yeah really. I love the play-off weekend, Normally I'm neutral and from there they are a great watch.

(Although that Huddersfield/Reading game wasn't too great a spectacle)

Instead of trying to cut the game down to 2, 30 min half wtfitaa they want to sort the fixtures. You ain't going to make all clubs happy but they should put a bit more effort in instead of relying on a computer programme.

On a personal level, I'm disappointed that the Walsall fixture is on the 2nd September when I'll be having to drink Belgian beer at my cousin's wedding.
Can't win 'em all, I suppose.
The rest of the fixture list is pants too.
Can't win any of 'em, I suppose.

I'd forgotten how dull League 1 is, especially with no big boys (e.g. Leeds/Wednesday/Forest etc) to spice it up. How many of us will be bouncing off the walls with excitement about playing Gillingham?

Go for it Derek, you're the promotion specialist - if Burton can play Championship football, we sure as hell can too.

:eh: Who were the big boys in League 2? Charlton, Blackburn and Bradford are certainly bigger clubs than we've been playing of late? Wigan, Oxford and Bristol Rovers also, Pompey again.

Looking forward to League 1.

Me too.

Who the 'big boys' are is subjective, but who the L2 minnows were was bleedin obvious, and there are none of them rascals in that set of fixtures

Fleetwood?

I think the rest are all what you'd call traditional football league clubs (excluding the franchise). Better than Forest Green, Morecambe and Accrington.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us against Charlton on SKY....us being promoted and them being a " biggish" club in League 1...

Makes it two Blackpool weekenders in a season so we'll let them off.

I'm excited, bigger clubs with more history, a few more stadiums with real character and a better standard of football, bring it on.

Last match I watched in Peterboro was the last match of the season which became rather infamous. First match of the season maybe we will be angels for it.
