Maybe if the prices were brought down to a reasonable level fans would come earlier. I think £4.80 for a can of beer is over the top price wise. Is it any wonder fans stay in the pub longer!!!

25% discount on food and drink if you arrive early ....

"There will be a discount of 25% on all products purchased from food and beverage kiosks inside the stadium between 1pm-1.45pm."

I guess the point I was making is that there’s still a missing link somewhere with fans not being aware of the entry conditions 🤷‍♂️ But then again some people just cannot be helped 😳

I think he sits near me.

Hi All,

Thanks for the feedback, and great to be back at Home Park playing football after what seems like an eternity!

Yesterday saw the last game with COVID certification in place and whilst I’ll be glad to see it go, we have collectively learned a lot from the process and as a result have a much better understanding of our external operation.

We had just under 7,000 supporters arrive after 2:30pm and that put extreme pressure on queues. Arriving earlier does help & ultimately will mean we can process entry into the stadium quickly and efficiently.

We continue to operate under covid protocols set by the EFL therefore unable to put as much activity as we would like both pre-match and at H/T. We hope we can improve this as restrictions get relaxed and therefore improve the match-day experience.

Yesterday, our public address specialists attended and made some changes to the positioning of the speakers and levels. The visit was purposefully planned during a game so we could get the sound correctly distributed with supporters in seats. I hope this vastly improves the experience.

The ticket office was busy with a mixture of on the day ticket purchases and Chelsea pick ups. With no home game before the FA Cup game we had to offer supporters a chance to collect in person yesterday.

To touch on security checks and searching. The intention is for these checks to be as inclusive & non invasive as possible but we understand that the process needs refining. In due course it’s very likely that the Government will be introducing some legislation called the protect duty. The protect duty will likely outline a number of different measures any sports ground or large venue will be legally be required to undertake. This will be in the form of security checks, hostile vehicle mitigation and other infrastructure to protect venue users. These measures come as a result of the Manchester bombing enquiry. Meetings with the police, local authority & the EFL have commenced already and as a club we want to be ahead of the curve on this. The consultation can be read here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-publishes-protect-duty-consultation-findings. This means that whilst experiences getting into other clubs may be different at the moment, we anticipate that soon it will be the same across all clubs.

In addition to the above, I’m sure you’ll have all seen the abandonment of games in France where missiles have been thrown at the players. This has slowly started to creep into the English leagues and referees have been asked to report incidents which could result in action against clubs. The searching policy has enabled us to confiscate items that could be used as missiles.

Ahead of the next league game the seat replacement programme will commence and we are looking forward to this taking shape.

Hope those going have a great day out at Stamford Bridge & see you on the 12th Feb! 🙌

Nonsense. Why would you inconvenience supporters for rules that are not even in place yet ? Missiles ? ? These are plastic bottles being thrown that you sell at your kiosks INSIDE the ground. At least be honest about this - and why no searches in the hospitality section ?

I think the prices after discount are what they should be charging all the time! If they were to bring them down to this level before the game I am sure that fans would be more inclined to spend their hard earned cash at the club instead of the pub! Price more often than not dictates where you spend your money.

We greatly appreciate honest responses from the club here. Can you tone your posts down? If you don’t agree that’s fine, but be courteous please.

Devonport this weekend, got there about 2pm, straight in, no ques.
Like the fact pints were already poured (something new I believe) and waiting, like to think that eased the ques for later arrivals 8/10

I don't like my kids being searched but sadly it's a sign of the times given the recent trend of parents 'using' their kids to secure player shirts that they can then flog on Ebay. It happened at Southampton on Saturday, when a little lad ran on the pitch and asked Phil Foden for his shirt. Foden isn't heartless so of course gave it to him. Cue ££££ and a social media bragging opportunity for the parents.

I went to Man City-Leeds before Christmas and when City scored one of their (many) goals, a little kid was pushed onto the pitch by his dad to join the City huddle. The stewards watched on and made no attempt to escort him from the pitch, even though he was literally stood in the middle of about £500m's worth of sporting talent.

Given the age we live in, this kind of shameless behaviour is only one step removed from some scumbag using their kid to smuggle weapons or flares into a stadium - or worse. Sadly, as ever, the minority spoil it for the majority of law-abiding, decent people.

ps. well done Leeds, who released a statement recently stating they will ban the parents of any child who invades the pitch at Elland Road.

More frustrating for me is people sat in our seats again as usual. It was a real battle to get them to move this week despite them being our ST seats.
I've emailed the club about it as in block 6 the families of those for the half time games etc apparently get told to sit where they want. They said it would change but it doesn't.
I don't really want that confrontation every single home game.
Got in fairly quickly although we had someone come down the queue searching bags then the guy at the front of the queue wanted to search them again - some kind of communication wouldn't go amiss

Weird one as I've only been "searched" once this season and I've missed 2 home games. I arrived at 2:35 and was kindly escorted by a Steward to a clear turnstile as I had my Phone out - Covid pass on show.
Turned up at 2:35 was in and having a beer by 2:38. I have no idea why she singled me out to go through a clear turnstile as there were hundreds of others in front of me queuing to get in.

No security check, and only a cursory glance by the steward at my covid pass on the app.

Not really doing as intended by a thumbs up from me.
