We are supposed to have lined up two higher level teams for games at HP. Which rather depend on HP having some reasonable amount of grass by July.

Plenty of time ...

If we’ve lined up two games at Home Park with decent opposition, why is it being kept secret?

There should be no reason to.

As one of the incentives to volunteer for the Action Day is a ticket to one of the pre season friendlies the assumption must be they are for home games.

These days Media Depts like to ease out good stories and the like. When you the involve another club, they then have to agree when we be a mutually good time to announce it, then chuck in Marketing Depts etc, you end with something which is very ‘coordinated’.

Is it best for us fans? No. Is it better for the clubs? Probably not, but it’s the way things are done today.

Even we on PASOTI, don’t give out bits of news randomly, we do it to get maximum coverage.
