The lack of a frontline spinner is a very naive decision. When was the last time Australia went into a test without a spinner I wonder?!

Surely the wrong team selection again. No front line spinner at Adelaide - Root already getting a bit of purchase on day one. Seamers - especially the two veterans- will be knackered in this heat as well. Hope I’m proved wrong.

Indeed, the team for the first Test is more suited for the second Test.

Root is a fantastic batsman but a poor tactical captain.
