The loss of an early first wicket in day 1 and day 4 sets the tone and the collapse follows.

Stokes should not have played, he's clearly not fit but with no warm up games he has to get fit in actual Test matches.

Why isn't Livingstone in the squad as a spinner and batsman?

Agreed about Livingstone Posty. That one has baffled me too

Poor old Leach not likely to get another game. Some very strange decisions by the England set up. Was difficult enough anyway without choosing the wrong team, putting them into bat etc.

Agree BG. can’t understand why Broad didn’t play this one and rotate for Anderson in the next. Leach should never have been picked and even then should have been protected by Root on the pitch - result = shattered confidence for the rest of the series. Decision at the toss was odd.

We aren’t blessed with Test level cricketers at the moment (oh, I wonder why that could be 🤔), but a lot of the failings here were managerial/captaincy decision making.

2nd Test Australia has won the toss and will bat first.
Anderson and Broad bowl first 2 overs and Aus is 0/0
6 overs Aus 3/0. Broad thought he had a wicket Harris was given out LBW, but on review the ball was missing wicket.
4/1 Marcus Harris c †Buttler b Broad 3
15/1 after 12 overs.
and that's it for me .

Surely the wrong team selection again. No front line spinner at Adelaide - Root already getting a bit of purchase on day one. Seamers - especially the two veterans- will be knackered in this heat as well. Hope I’m proved wrong.
