Robert Miles - only 47.

I was doing my hoovering yesterday (like you do) and had MTV Dance on (like you do): Euro Euphoria Greatest Hits (or summat)

Number 1 was Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the Sky
Number 2 was Robert Miles - Children.
Both great 'long versions', had to stop hoovering!!

RIP Robert Miles. 47???

Chris Cornell, Soundgarden singer. Gone at only 52!!! R.I.P

Unbelievable. Incredible vocalist and part of an incredible band in Soundgarden. Lucky to see them a few years ago at Brixton Academy and at Hyde Park festival. Down on the Upside is one of my top 20 albums. Absolutely gutted.

I remember my Uncle in Huddersfield playing me Soundgarden's Louder than love when I was a teen... it blew me away. Such a shame, they were the best band to emanate from the Seattle grunge scene.

I didn't warm to Audioslave, but Jesus Christ Pose by Soundgarden is one of the best songs around.

The purist always went for Sean Connery but I preferred Roger Moore, something about the raised eyebrows and that cheeky smirk did it for me. Also, of personal significance, I remember seeing him at the Drake Cinema in the Spy Who Loved Me on the day that Elvis died.
