Indeed. Their Spiral Scratch EP was on the top of every Punk fan's wanted list when it came out. One of the earliest Punk releases from one of the best early Punk bands.

Agreed. Pete Shelley was a brilliant songwriter. RIP.

The Buzzcocks were a great band knocking out so many punchy pop classics.

On the Spiral Scratch EP, Howard Devoto, who went on to form the excellent Magazine, was on vocals with Pete on guitar. I think if Devoto had stayed with The Buzzcocks the music would have gone in a different, probably far more 'arty', direction to the punk pop that Shelley and his bandmates gave us.

Wasn't surprised at her age tbh as I remember 'Ron and Eth' in The Glums (Take it from Here) in the 50's on the radio. As a young boy, Jimmy Edwards was as funny as it gets!
Used to love that: 'Oh Ron' ... 'Yes Eth?' (You had to have been there!)
She must have been good, look who she worked with!!

Will shed a tear for her and her comic timing ....... just the one dear?
