Anyone else notice the complete reversal to this fixture from last time around? Last season Argyle travelled to the Valley as THE form team in League One (and on the back of one of the best runs in the entire country). Charlton, on the other hand, had completely lost the plot, had just sacked the manager and couldn't buy a goal - let alone a win. Even their own forum, leading up to the match, was total gloom and doom with references to the fans needing to bring an abacus with them to keep up with Argyle's goal tally on the day. Hmm, didn't quite work out that way, did it? This time Argyle are languishing, whilst Charlton have just won three in a row and are nicely positioned for the play-off places. In the perverse and twisted world that is football that can only mean one thing - an Argyle victory! And then I woke up... )
