Oops, forgot Scunthorpe only had 5 games left but only 2 against potentially tough opponents.Just wouldn't relish us having to play them knowing we had to win to reach play offs

Scunny look to have easiest run in.
On paper our run in looks ok apart from the fact we are playing struggling teams away and they will be up for it and fighting for every point.. We are going to have to battle and dig out some points

Only one more home game. How is that happened.tough finish now

Two away games postponed earlier in the season!

We've been solid away from home under Adams, win 2 and draw 1 of the away games will do the job.

Just had a go at the Fishy predictor again and I ended up with Argyle 5th on 73 points and to play Rotherham in the play off semis.

I've taken the executive decision to remove Rotherham and Bradford. The matches below are the only ones that remain which will count towards play-off spots. As I apparently can't predict the sun coming up, I thought at the very least, it might be fun to play with.

Only thing that really worries me now is the relentless schedule Argyle have.

Blackburn ?-? Peterborough

Northampton ?-? Argyle
Portsmouth ?-? Charlton
Scunthorpe ?-? Walsall

Rochdale ?-? Argyle
Shrews ?-? Peterborough

Bury ?-? Portsmouth
Charlton ?-? Blackburn
MK Dons ?-? Scunthorpe
Peterborough ?-? Fleetwood
Argyle ?-? Rotherham

Scunthorpe ?-? Argyle

Gillingham ?-? Argyle
Portsmouth ?-? Peterborough
Rochdale ?-? Charlton
Scunthorpe ?-? Bradford

Everyone has tough run ins in different ways but the best thing is that Peterborough, Charlton and Pompey all have to take points off each other or play one of the top 3.. We have Scunthorpe of course but games in hand too.

It’s very much in our hands but is a “free shot” what ever happens.

9 points from 5 games is a tough ask, especially with our congestion - but do that and we are guaranteed to finish above Portsmouth.

10 from 5 and we are guaranteed to finish above Peterborough.

11 from 5 and we are guaranteed to finish above Charlton. (And we will also be guaranteed a finish in the playoffs).

This is very very do-able.

Northampton and Rochdale present a great opportunity for 6 quick points. We could land 2 knockout blows in the next 7 days.
Playing Saturday Tuesday at this stage won't worry them. They are at their fittest and will be only be doing light training and recovery between games.

They will be fighting for survival so by no means easy matches to play.

Here's another scenario:

If Portsmouth beat Charlton and then draw with Peterborough, then 72 points (8 points from our final 5 games) will absolutely guarantee a playoff place unless Bradford win all of their final 5 games (unlikely). That's even if Portsmouth, Peterborough and Charlton win all of their other matches.
