Whoopsie.

Peter Ridsdale has been banned from acting as a company director until April 2020 due to his conduct as a director of W H Sports Group.

Peter Ridsdale paid £347k into personal bank accounts for invoices raised for services provided to a football club of which he was chairman.

Peter Ridsdale failed to disclose the relevant transactions to the liquidator of WHSG. It was Cardiff City who disclosed the payments.

From Dale Johnson ESPN.

So did the guys he was brought in to help out. And so does James Brent (nothing quite as unorthodox as Ridsdale, but he'll still have a goal in mind - he is a businessman after all).

Ridsdale is his own worst enemy. He's got all the tools to be a very successful football administrator, but he has a spectacularly bad habit of making decisions that come back to bite him.

True, but he still saved Argyle which was what it was all about!!
What wonderful morals you have Max. Who is to say that if someone else had come in they would not have managed the same. At least Gilfoyle would not have been on the scene and the club might have been marketed properly rather than the cosy little arrangement so favoured by the Yorkshire mafia which would have seen Ridsdale pick up the club for a quid. At least the staff might have had a little less time to suffer financially while the circus with Heaney dragged on. Just imagine if they had got their way and Heaney now bankrupt and Ridsdale disqualified for malpractice had taken over. Is that what it was all about Max? I would rather have seen us restart in the Ryman league.

I've always believed that Argyle needed James Brent an awful lot more than James Brent needed Argyle.

I've only ever met one club owner. He had always genuinely loved football and the club he supported but at one time he sold the club because he was sick of the cynicism of the supporters and abuse that was aimed at his family. While many in the upper levels seem to be on an ego trip or trying to make a fast buck, it's possible that not everybody operates with the same scruples.

I dont know what you define "Saving Argyle" as, but selling our best players (a lot of whom have moved up to higher leagues) for peanuts certainly doesn't make him the saviour. The fans saved the club not him
