Good news for those two, although manager and assistant manager are very inexperienced.
I should imagine the past few months have shown Dewsnip, Schumacher et al that he is capable of doing the job.
'I believe Mark is more than ready for this opportunity and added responsibility', stated the vastly experienced Schumacher...still sticking with my 'keeps the costs down'.
Nothing wrong with my mood at all.
I was just calling it as I see it. Let me ask you this; who do you think would be the cheaper option; Hughes or Downing?

Argyle can’t win. A few posters ,me included, were concerned at the number of back room staff employed when Lowe left. Hughes having worked alongside Downing will presumably have increased his knowledge and is deemed good enough to replace him. Not penny pinching, common sense.
Never mind the budget, how about giving people a chance to prove themselves.
We’ve just had a very good season and people are complaining that we’re promoting people who have been a big part of that? Odd. Actively promoting from within is the best way to retain your key staff - that is quite literally the reason we currently have the manager that we do.
In-house reshuffle.
Schuey trusts his team around him & the hierarchy trust his judgment call. We still have Mr Dewsnip in house who Schuey can rely on.
Because Schuey's team work so closely together maybe they feel they don't require a new member as Mark Hughes is currently studying for is UEFA A Licence
