How about a PL club signs him, and keep with us on loan for a season? That way he is guaranteed to keep developing, we get a few bob and the parent club will benefit in the long term
No. They would want to nurture him and coach him to fit their system and style of play. He would also be working day in and day out with better goalkeeper coaches as well as training alongside that clubs existing goalkeepers who will all be of a similar or higher ability - all of this would help make Cooper a quality keeper. May mean he may not play first team football for a while but when he does he will be much improved. Then at that stage a loan maybe on - or a first team spot at his parent club.

Hardest thing for keepers coming through is getting competitive game time, it’s another reason why MC is so in demand. Having 100+ competitive games at his age is huge.

Do you really think clubs are going to dilute all of this progress by having him just training? This would cause him to regress and not improve him as you suggest

I disagree. And he won’t be just training as will be playing for their under 23s no doubt (overage keepers allowed btw). Great he has a significant number of games under his belt at such a young age but now needs even better coaching and training with some of the best to progress to the level some on here think he will achieve. Sometimes in careers you need to go backwards to go forwards.

23’s = massive step back. Ask any pro and these are barely better than training compared to league games

Why would MC need to take a step backwards in his career? That’s would be ridiculous and not beneficial for the player or the club he goes to

He hasn't gone anywhere, neither has this rumour other than down the page.
I would imagine Argyle will be looking to secure him on a longer more financially beneficial contract, if nothing else it bumps up his price.
Does Cooper even want to leave?
Much the same about Pan, does he want to leave?

Both contracted for next season so no reason to think they wont both be turning up for pre season in a couple of weeks time !

Seeing Ramsdale tonight I reckon Michael Cooper wouldn’t have let in 4 goals from those shots. The second Hungary goal in particular was hit dead centre at the goal and if positioned properly should have been perfectly saveable.

... and he would've got onto the end of a few of Reece James's crosses and scored a hat-trick.

Thought much the same. In the previous game, Ramsdale almost cost a goal from a clearance and his distribution was poor with a couple of kicks straight into touch. Cooper could be a genuine England prospect but probably needs to grow about three inches first.

But this nations league is nothing more than a glorified end of season friendly league with no meaningful point to them other than to countries with no hope of qualifying for euros and World cups.
For England it's about putting out either tired/can't be bothered pro's or newbies who aspire to selected one day but literally have no hope of doing so.
I would take these results with a shaker full of salt, the performances will not match up to a meaningful international match.
