None of the other main names in the frame (Lowe, Coughlan, Flynn) have much experience and they would all require us to pay compensation.

Holloway is the only one in my mind that would bring the crowds back, and has past experience of bringing in real quality players.

How can you say unreliable? Look at how many promotions Holloway has achieved in his career.

3 promotions in 20 years, by my count, the last one being six years ago.

Same amount as Derek Adams in 8 seasons. Different levels, albeit.

Ryan Lowe got promoted out of the division we’re about to play in six weeks ago, in his first year of permanent management.

I’d rather have someone on the way up with something to prove than some one on the way out whose interested because he still feels guilty about the last time.

Lowe woulld also have to uproot his family from Merseyside but he may be forced to head to Devon for more job security.

Hallett was very clear that he wants someone who will relocate and become part of the club, I’m sure that will have been confirmed with Ryan Lowe and I strongly doubt Hallett would have continued pursuing him if he didn’t feel confident that Lowe would commit. Will be a very good appointment if it’s confirmed.
