That’s a good result at Forest Green. That coupled with our previous meeting should make Oxford quite confident but it all depends which Argyle turns up. At least our League form means that we can concentrate on the Cup.

We are in unbudgeted territory with this game. There's £54,000 prize money at stake for the winner plus each club receives 45% of the gate receipts.

To attract fans to the game to create an atmosphere perhaps the club could market the game that every single profit and prize money from the FA Cup will go towards new players in the January transfer window.

We've had £36,000 prize money so far and a share of the attendance against Stevenage.

Would the second round game attract more fans if the club said all FA Cup money would be given to Adams for new players (wages/transfer fees) in January?
Within the 60% turnover/wage ratio.

The tiny minority who are ‘special’ enough to worry themselves over football clubs’ finances are very likely to already be going, aren’t they?

Probably not. Best avoid public Millstones.

It'd be just like Argo to fluff their lines vs Oxford and watch United land a plum away tie at Old Trafford or the Emirates.

we were slaughtered at the Kassam, could have been double figures defeat. One of the very worst performances I have seen us dish up.
