The latter problem is changing but I think people are taking it a little too far. Its a bit of fun and I feel people are playing within their means, I admire your worry but its other peoples problems not yours.

Pretty naive. How do you know people are 'playing within their means'? You know where most bookies are located? The poorest areas. You won't find many in Hartley. For once in my life I find myself agreeing with Xisle. It becomes other people's problem if losers turn to crime or don't feed their kids.

Think lot of people backed argyle mid season, because our odds were ridiculous, even when our form was improving.i know lots of people like a few quid backing Argyle start of season, what I don't like is that their are too many betting adverts on tv now, especially at half time ,isn't it about time it was regulated better, online also nothing but adverts for betting

I have already had small wager on us getting promotion at 9/1.

Cash out offer is already slightly more than my modest stake without season starting. No officiandando on gambling so guess the signings have played part in that?

I haven't. Betting is a mugs game.

While I think of it, I noticed a trend creeping in, and growing, last season. Boring repetitive 'odds chat' spreading across multiple threads that it has no place.

This thread fair enough, it's titled appropriately so I could've avoided it. But regular niche sub conversations within the (insert team here) threads?, every thread towards the end of the season discussing play-off or promotion prospects?... unnecessary and dull.

Betting companies have already insidiously infected football, plastered all over shirts, football stadia and live game advertising.

Please don't let betting infect football message boards too. Leave us one sanctuary from Ray bleedin Winstone and his "world's most popular bettin' caaaaaaampany"

Yep. I'm with you Smiffy. We've got an eye on it.

Also an seven team each way accumaltor of plymouth, Milton keynes, Salford city Ross county, Clyde, Torquay and juventas. With lots and lots of luck returns on the win 811,000. 100,000 if each way component comes in.

Ex players bank rolling investment and paying players 4K a week.

Nothing more than some other teams are doing but just on a much lower league comparison.

Right or wrong good chance they will win that league at 9/4 odds the moment you could double money in 10 months. Always put argyle on by doubled it up each way with Salford city
