Lots of people were surprised by Houghton’s selection on Saturday but the team performance turned out well.

Shuey seems to know what he’s doing, which is good because he gets paid to make the decisions. Supporters should just support and leave team management to a manager who almost definitely knows more than us. Fingers crossed.

Yes the manager is paid to get it right, he has a coaching team to support and advise him and sees the players in training, apart from all the other data at his fingertips. That doesn't mean a relative amateur can't offer an opinion and now and again even be right (perhaps by chance).

We have a squad Schuey is choosing to use it - it is a long hard season & Schuey is probably briefed by the medical team regarding each player after each game

We need to manage the players right so that we do not over work the players- Schuey will want a high number of player availability so squad rotation will tick all the boxes

He has brought in players he feels are capable of doing a job & therefore that is shown in Schuey's team selection

Like when they signed Alfie Lewis and brought him on at Fleetwood. We all know what happened afterwards.
