Assault, Mayflower gate

Nasty assault by the Mayflower gate after the game, seemed to be the result of sitting or standing for a penalty disagreement . Unbelievable behaviour in front of a lot of young children, the man that threw the punch is an absolute tool. Did anyone else witness it?

I sit in the Lyndhurst and I find it so strange that everyone stands up when the penalty is awarded, then sit down again, only to stand up again when the penalty is scored. Could we not all just stand up to the extra minute to see it through?

You’re assuming the people behind you can see when you stand and they stand. Often they can’t - especially of they’re young.

Yes I witnessed it and so did many others, attacking fellow Argyle fan in front of young children. The bloke was a knob, was as we all walking out from Grandstand. He was with couple of mates who finally dragged him away. Lots of fans had eyes on him as he walked off, no stewards I'm afraid nearby.

I don’t mind standing although running to the barrier is a bit ignorant when the disabled fans sit in the front row and then cannot see the penalty
