Cooper is mentioned in The Athletic article about talented EFL players to keep an eye on . In league One it highlights only him, Stockton and Helik from Barnsley. Article needs paywall but below is the extract on Cooper

Michael Cooper, 22, goalkeeper, Plymouth Argyle

Young goalkeeper Cooper had a fantastic season as Argyle pushed hard for a play-off place, only to fall at the final hurdle on the last day of the League One season. With 18 clean sheets in 46 matches, he was tied with Wycombe Wanderers’ David Stockdale in the race for the League One golden glove last season and was integral to his team amassing 80 points as they finished seventh.

His 136 saves were the third-highest after Stockdale and Shrewsbury’s Marko Marosi, although he conceded fewer goals than both of his rivals with 48 conceded in 46 appearances compared to their 51 apiece over the same number of games. Cooper’s age will make him an attractive prospect for sides higher up the pyramid this summer and will be one to watch next season, although he remains under contract until 2024 — Argyle director of football Neil Dewsnip has maintained his stance the player is not for sale in this window.

I wouldn’t mind Hallett putting the club up for sale. He’s done a great job refreshing the club and everything is top notch ready for a big time player to come in and move the ship with there money
Patience, Jake. Patience. Be careful what you wish for.

A change of owner is a much bigger risk than a change of manager. A League One club without a history of being in the top flight might only be attractive to someone who does not have business acumen of Simon (and attitude to risk).

We are doing very nicely under the current stewardship, thank you very much.

Big season for him wherever he goes. although the article is from a charlton type source it would make sense for him to go there from a fulham perspective

Makes sense from his perspective as well if true. Also shows the size of Charlton's budget and they are probably a direct competitor with us next season. Mid table looking to push on. What a tough league we are in...

Even tougher if we don’t sign another striker!

Charlton, have a billionaire in charge of them. They aren’t our direct competitor. They just under performed. Just like Ipswich.

These are clubs with deep pockets. With billionaires looking to challenge Championship teams, let alone league one.

You have to imagine how difficult it is to achieve what we did last season, and then expect us to do it again.

It good to have standards, but our expectations need to be kept in check in line with our budget. We should be a solid mid table team next year. Anything else is an over achievement.

Agree to an extent, but momentum, togetherness, belief, proper governance, even quality of life, are also important factors in success stories. It's not just about finance.

In any case, 3 relatively strapped-for-cash teams have come down from the Championship, to replace some of last season's bigger spenders. Meanwhile our playng budget has increased.

Par for Argyle is 7th or 8th, I'd say.

You can have those things. But when there are clubs with billionaires and their location is more attractive then unfortunately it’s very difficult to not only recruit the players you need but to keep them.

Thats why l often say play style over results. It sounds barmy but to a club like Argyle if you can’t compete with these team financially then at least make yourself attractive to watch. Will help to keep the floating fans interested. The hardcore will turn up whatever you serve.

We can play the most attractive football but unless we are challenging at the top end of the table the floating fans will quickly disappear . It is a results business but thankfully the diehard fans will turn up regardless.
