We not got 300k to spend on any player let alone a defender. We actually pretty stacked in that department

I really wonder what type of person sets up a twitter account and makes up senseless rumours - but they do it every summer.

We signed Wilson, Galloway, Gillesphey and Scarr for nothing last summer, all had quite successful seasons, so why would we go and spend £300,000 on a 26 year old when they are all still here?

Wonder if we are interested in Conor McGrandles, turned down a new contract at Lincoln, was originally expected to return to Scotland but an article yesterday suggested he would be staying in the EFL for his next challenge.

not got 300k to spend why not.
Post Covid there are loans to pay back . Also Argyle will have been effected by the raise in gas and electric . The cost of living has gone up for all of us let alone a Football Club. I think you will see that money is very tight in all of the divisions bar the Premiership

Not that we'd pay that sort of money but I think we maybe in the market for another centre back, most likely to be a loan.

We have:
Gillesphey
Galloway (coming back from a long term injury)
Scarr
Bolton (currently injured)
Wilson

I read on here that Butcher could also play centre back if required. However, an injury to either Wilson or Scarr would leave us very short at the back.

It looks like we are still interested in striker James Norwood although Bristol Rovers are favourites to sign him.
We were linked to signing him in January but he decided to stay at Ipswich.
