Argyle called me the day before yesterday to say I had booked an adult ticket for my old man - who's over 70 and therefore should have been a concession. I thought I had done something wrong at first but no, they were just calling to say they were going to give me a refund for the difference.

Bit of a pointless call to be honest but good on them for being thorough.

Anyway, my tickets arrived today.

Agreed.

Like very many football fans I'm fully in favour of safe standing areas in stadiums. So it's ironic that in implementing it in the way Chelsea have done, it's likely to have set the case for safe standing back, not advanced it. Bizarre really.
In an away end where people have stood for many seasons, Chelsea would say that they changed the furniture in that section last August and made the situation safer. They were ahead of the law which has only just caught up this month.

From what I understand, Argyle sold the tickets without giving supporters the opportunity to select their own seats, something which normally happens when buying away tickets at Stamford Bridge. Had they done so, my advice to somebody who would prefer to sit would have been, get in early and get seats at the front of either the lower or upper tiers.

Iā€™m useless when it comes to London, could anyone offer some advice as to how easy itā€™ll be to get back to Victoria after the Spurs/Brighton game? Tube or bus preferably.

Dead easy, get on the Victoria and get off at Seven Sisters or Tottenham Vale - straight walk to the stadium albeit theyā€™re a 25&30 minute walk.

seven sisters is a straight walk, thereā€™s some decent ale houses on route. Keep your wits about you and itā€™s best not to be too bolshy because if it comes on top in North London youā€™ll come unstuck

I more meant anyone with experience as I imagine itā€™ll be extremely busy.
My Son has been there in the last few weeks, Getting there is no problem but from 2030 on Friday and Saturday nights there is strike action on the Victoria Line with a special service running. He was going back to Kings Cross which is on the line to Victoria and ended up missing his train as it was chaos. tfl.gov.uk is your best bet for planning your trip and for strike updates

Bus only will mean getting 4 buses and will take 90 minutes
