Mayor certainly shines as an individual, he's conspicuous on the pitch and at times brilliant and that's why he's got MoM twice running. But this season his presence pretty clearly doesn't make for a good team, as shown by the results in the league matches he has been involved in - surely going unbeaten for 16 when he was out injured and then 3 losses in a row when he's back says something?
It might say something if DM had played poorly - but he didn’t .. he played really well in fact. We did play better opposition which is also a factor in us losing - can’t blame DM for any of that, if the other 10 players had played as well as Mayor we wouldn’t have lost any of those matches imo.

It's straight forward enough..we went on a 17 match unbeaten run without Mayor..which means Broom is the answer, he gives much more in commitment. Golden boy Mayor though is a one trick pony..beats his man, loses the ball and leaves it for the defenders to sort out.. time that mayor went IMO
Fair enough, it's only opinions LAido but what did you think of Mayor's goal on Saturday?

Ah life is so simple innit? Its obvious. Must all be down to one player. Why can't Lowe see it? What a player that Broom is to be solely responsible for our 17 match run?

With respect I think most detractors are pointing to the fact that Mayor seems to disrupt the flow of the game.

It can’t be denied that when he gets on the ball one thinks that something special is about to happen. It rarely does. If we had more moments like Saturday then this thread wouldn’t have more than one page.

If it’s said that Mayor brings more to the game than Broom and is a better player, then it would be fair to assume that against better opposition he would be a game changer. The facts suggest otherwise.

Omg ....one goal on a plate....your easily pleased ...id take a scuffed miss kick goal if it means winning. over 3 seasons he has contributed hardly anything.....other than prove to me he is good at running around in a circle....then losing the ball.

Well put.

Ridicules comment.....in fact...pathetic....not one person is saying its Broom on his own....its what he brings to the team and how they play with him.

Yeah we get your viewpoint. You are wrong. No need to continually repeat. Both are good players.

So, Galloway played in most of the games on our very successful run, but only 37 minutes of the 3 we've lost lately. But it's all down to Mayor - again.

That goal on a plate? I thought before you were just misguided and mono-focused, but it's clearer now - plain deluded along with the person who liked your absurd post.
