Watching Danny Mayor dribbling with the ball and then shooting is like watching a top artist complete a brilliant picture and then knock a pot of paint over it. I don’t even get excited anymore as you know what’s coming.

I agree. Especially the bit in bold.

Agree with Big Alf , we were one dimensional and had no plan b. It’s not like Ainsworth has pulled a tactical masterstroke , we’ve tried to pull them around the pitch and find a way through and couldn’t. But god they are awful to watch. No ambition at all.
Hope Galloway isn’t as bad as feared.
Really?!
I think it was a masterstroke.
Everything about it.
Left one up who was strong, quick and mobile.
Let Argyle have it until the final third and then just threw a blanket on the attack.
Let Argyle's immobile forward have it with his back to goal.
Hit Argyle with sharp incisive passing

We were far too pedestrian first half and Wycombe just let us have the ball. I think most teams will now adopt these tactics against us . We had more intensity at the start of the second half but they counter attacked well and were clinical in their finishing. However, our defence fell apart for the first time this season- they were poor goals to concede. Jephcott had a poor game and we looked light weight up front. Major was our most creative player but again had no end product. Another tough game on Saturday….

Worst game of football at HP for a long time.
If ever Wycombe come to town again, I will stay at home.

How can you watch that every week. Ainsworth and Wycombe are ruining football.

I said the next 7 games would give us a good indication of where we will finish and thats 2 defeats on the bounce.
We looked slow, jaded and lacking ideas. There were numerous times where there was space to attack but we stopped, looked around for a pass and went either backwards or sideways. No forward movement at all and no options.
I would have took Jeff off earlier and also Mayor for Broom and Garret. I would also have gone for it by leaving Hardie on and bringing on Agard, nothing to loose when your 1 down. I know Hotdog didn't have a great game but as our top scorer, theres always a chance.
Defense wise, we fell asleep at two crucial moments, 1 being after a 'head injury' they should bring in the concussion rule a player with supposed head injury must be off the pitch for at least 5 mins.
Still, it was what i expected really in the end.
Onwards and upwards.

Galloway injury update

Ryan Lowe has confirmed that Argyle defender Brendan Galloway suffered a dislocated kneecap during the first half.

What a blow for Brendan & the team
I’m no medic but that doesn’t sound as bad as it might have been ? Get well soon Brendan.

Our play was just so repetitive tonight. Scarr into Houghton, Houghton into Jephcott, the move ends there.

I just don’t get the Mayor bashing on here! He deserved the MOM and others also missed the target but they don’t get criticised half as much. They were terrified every time he had the ball.

I really rate Dan Scarr but why didn’t he keep going forward and carry the ball to draw them out? He just passed it to LJ and he passed it back. I think he only once ran forward with the ball and it all opened up for him. I think he lacked confidence to run with the ball, which was a shame

A very good performance by Wycombe who were so much better than us in taking their chances and in the last line of defence. We were still good in creating chances but terrible tonight in taking them with really bad finishing.

Speaking from experience, dislocated knee cap takes about 4-6 weeks to heal.

Scarr was given time on the ball and almost encouraged to come forward so that when we inevitability lost possession, Wycombe would instantly have a huge hole behind him to exploit.

A good performance? So what do you make of the cheating feigning of the head Injury at the Devonport end? I would say a nasty horrible team that loves to cheat especially when they go ahead. There is no other word in my book because that is exactly what they did.

The thing is they are a strong unit that are effective in what they do, they had no need to cheat like that, but they choose to do it and that’s why I hope they fail. I would rather watch Argyle all day long than pay to watch that shower.
