for those wanting Danny Hylton.. here’s a CV of his last 18 months …

played 19 games last season for Luton … scored zero goals, year before that played 11 times - again zero goals. In fact the last time Danny Hylton scored a competitive goal was the 23rd of March 2019. Yes early 2019.
Oh and he’s 32 and not a target man.

To all those wishing for him to come to Argyle I say - No Thanks.

As mentioned on the Posh match thread last night, Bristol City have a raw, big Gambian striker who scored two agianst FGR, second was a curled effort from edge of the box, and also scored his penalty. He scored 17 goals in 12 games on loan at Torquay in 18/19 and 1 in 8 games on loan at Newport last season. Very good chance he will be loaned out again this season.

Might lack the experience we may need up front but his name is a dream for Argyle... Saikou Janneh (pronounced Pyscho Janner).

Not sure if he has already been mentioned but with Ipswich signing so many forward players, it appears that Kayden Jackson is available. He fits the bill of what Lowe is looking for, and he’s scored goals before. Could be a good addition.

I wonder whether the leap from league of Ireland to league 1 is too great ?

Big awkward striker Georgie Kelly, 24 , has been in great form recently and mentioned in discussions about the upcoming Republic of Ireland squad.

He is out of contract at Bohemians in December this year. He has bagged 16 goals in the league , plus 4 in the europa conference league, including scoring in the recent 2-1 win over Greek giants PAOK.

He seems big and raw - but perhaps the sort of player Argyle could look to develop ?

Again, post brexit, a player from Ireland would have to meet strict points criteria (or GBE) to be signed by an English club. Ireland is not one of the top leagues in Europe so no points for playing regularly in his domestic league, so unless he's played 70% of Eire's national fixtures then this is a non starter unfortunately.

Not absolutely sure that this applies to Ireland. We still have lots of travel stuff that applies to EU citizens but not Irish. I think Irish citizens can still come here and work freely although we cannot do the same. These are our rules and not part of the agreement.
