Why would that suggest Sonny is going? We needed to a sign a partner for him, hopefully some good competition between Edwards and Sokolik now.

We'd only have 3 centre backs for next season if we didn't sign him. Bradley, Sokolik and Songo'o who is arguably better used at CDM than CB. A very good signing on paper and another giant at the back.

Sokolik, looks like he has a mistake in him. However, with a pre-season (Adams style) under his belt l am hoping some of what we saw was rustyness due to lack of first team games at Southend.

So we really need more quality and competition in this area. What we maybe need at FB is more pace but strength and height down the middle is essential.

Edwards is right sided. We still need another left sided CB though. Can't imagine Sonny will be off anywhere unless a decent fee is paid by someone.
