This is fantastic news and a great achievement.
I think it’s important to reflect for a moment on what this means for what has been called the “Plymouth way” of running a football club.
We’ve been able to attract a player we would not really have expected to, against all the odds it seemed, and he has gone on to thrive here in what has been an extremely challenging season for the club due to two mid-season managerial changes. It looks like we are going to stay in the Championship.
Morgs wanted to come here to play football rather than be highly paid to sit on a bench and only get on the pitch occasionally. He likes it at Argyle because of the support both at home and away, and the way we look after our players. He signed for us following a very successful loan spell.
There are more like him, and they will be the ones to form the Argyle way of doing things. Mr Hallett’s vision works, and I am confident in it and greatly appreciative.

Respected amongst his peers
For Morgs who shuns the limelight this recognition will mean the world to him but if he was asked how he felt he would probably say "he could not do it without his team mates around him" 💚💚

But he plays for a team that could have shipped three times that number of goals without his performances.
The players vote for the awards so they should be good judges as to the best. All teams could ship three times the number of goals without a half decent keeper.

Flashscore rates players each week (probably very unreliable) and the Rotherham keeper has been voted motm in two of the last twenty two games. In some games he has scored five or less out of ten.

Some Bristol City fans note that their keeper has the fewest goals conceded against the highest xG against over the last twenty three games.

It’s all opinions but as originally posted it’s highly unlikely that the keeper of a team tailed off in the league would be voted the best in the league despite a performance against Argyle where our finishing was poor.

That Rotherham goalie was brilliant in both games against Argyle, not just at Rotherham.
But back to MW - must be satisfying to be more respected among your peers than some big names and good players - Wilfried Gnonto & Dan James from Leeds alone , let alone those from the other top teams.
