Therapy? (Wow, still going and better than the likes of Biffy Clyro and Muse! Thier latest album Hard Cold Fire is very good.)
I’ve been a big fan of Therapy? Since they had Teethgrinder on heavy rotation at Connections and Woods nightclubs. Their albums never disappoint and I’ve seen them live quite a few times over the years. As Michael McKeegan likes to say, fan-f’kin-tastic!

At the risk of reviving an old thread, the new Nothing but Thieves album is excellent. Its their 4th album and they've all been great. The lead singer has one of the best voices out there at the moment.

Talking of Glen Tillbrook… Squeeze!

I’ve always felt Happy Mondays are a bit underrated and much better than The Stone Roses.
That's a big shout Mondays better than Roses but everyone has different tastes. I was a big inspiral Carpets fan but they didn't really make it.

Tbh first Roses album "The stone Roses" is brilliant but pretty much nothing much after came close.

Dexys Midnight Runners I know cmon Eileen is worldwide but theres more to the band than that one song. TBH it's not my favourite song however Geno is one of my all time favourites.

It’s a great debut album.

Geno is probably in my favourite top 5 songs ever. Dexy’s and UB40 are similar in that their best known and commercialised songs are mediocre at best!

'Searching for the Young Soul Rebels' is an excellent album: as good as Geno is, There, There My Dear is even better (IMHO).

Come on Eileen is utter tosh, though.

And don't get me started on UB40. When they first came onto the scene, they wrote edgy political tracks, great songs like Food for Thought and One in Ten. Then they got their first royalty cheques and went all mainstream (and rubbish).

Steel Pulse & Linton Kwesi Johnson kept the more edgy stuff going for British reggae. Both very good and maybe underrated. 'Ku Klux Klan' by SP and 'Fite Dem Back' by LKJ are two classic tracks dealing with racism.

I've certainly head of Steel Pulse, but admit I haven't heard much of their stuff. I'll most definitely listen to some of their albums (and Linton Kwesi Johnson)

I agree Come on Eileen makes me cringe I did listen to your recommendation on There My dear great song thankyou Quinny but I prefer Geno. But still great song. I always wonder why come on Eillien still is such a popular song, the band did much better Songs. Another song I love that's never really played is King Love and Pride
