I take the point that without Azaz and Cundle it's difficult to still play the quick transitions in the counter attacking style Schuey had started to impliment away in recent games. I think yesterday showed how much we miss them. Fingers crossed we find the right players to replace them and we get back to playing our way, and Fozzie just adds that bit of organisation and steel to our off the ball play. That's what my expectation was of a new head coach coming in.

I think it’s healthy to challenge what we see.

You call it toxic, I call it airing opinions.

Fwiw I don’t agree with it. Most don’t agree with me but it’s a forum of opinions and debate. You choose to read it, you choose to agree or disagree.

Stop trying to control the narrative.
Well said. In total agreement.

One of Fozzie's strengths is that he is an Out of Possession Specialist
Opposition teams can usually suss out within the 1st 10/15 minutes how to get a result against us & that has been our undoing
Fozzy needs to make us less predictable & that will take time to bed in
2nd half yesterday was extremely uncomfortable as the terriers had us on toast- luckily for us they could not finish us of
Losing the industry & talent of our 2 recent loanees now shows what we are now short of in the midfield engine room & no doubt our recruitment team are looking to fill the void left
Fozzy has his footballing philosophy & over the next couple of weeks we will see how Fozzie's Fighters are set up to play every game

To repeat what I said on another post. Not sure how Foster could say he was delighted with our performance yesterday.

Interesting interview with Jordan Houghton on the PAFC site. He says the first week with Fozzie has been ‘intense’ with plenty of talk on tactics, both in and out of possession. Says the team are ‘intelligent’ and keen to take it all on board. All good. Fozzie will have to strike the right balance between being a tactical guru (this looks clear already) with being a leader and motivator. You can stand in front of a white board with metal bits and arrows, but need also to instil the visceral desire and ‘need’ to win in every player. It’s a balance but I certainly don‘t feel able, after literally a few days, to judge whether he’s got it right. Until we know, I’m right behind him - come on Fozzie and COYG!

A Schuey side would have lost at Huddersfield. It’s courageous to try to play brave football but at times it’s very naive.
I think a schuey side would have picked them open, they were nothing special. They’re bound to look good when you give the ball back to them constantly and then sit off and not press them

I suggest that what he says in the dressing room and what he says in the media may be a little different. Part of a coach/managers role is to maintain/create strong team ethos - and that in itself is a fine balance between encouragement and criticism. Especially when you have been in the job for just 8 days.

By the way this is nothing against foster, I will give him time and happy with the appointment. I just think all the hate towards schuey because he left is unnecessary. Doesn’t change the fact he’s been our best manager for years

Have I missed something? I hadn't really seen anything of Cundle of even Finn away from home this season.
No you're right there. I thought when we changed to a more counter attacking formation the last couple of away games it was better. We just didn't have someone like Cundle in particular who could take the ball from deep in tight areas and transition quickly yesterday, so we played hoof ball.

When I saw Darko's showreel I said he looks like a ball winner and an engine, more so than a creative player, and that is how he looked to me yesterday. I thought he won a good few balls but nobody playing off him to receive it and take us forward. So hopefully we find a number eight who can do that.
