Carp thing to say maybe, but it sums up our chronic underachievement when a bloke who played 66 times and scored 21 goals in the second tier is fifth in our greatest ever strikers list.

Can we wake up this sleeping giant soon, please?

This vote asked for greatest pilgrims. Not greatest you saw play. Jack Vidler doesn't rate a mention. Incredible.
And tactics.....those players from years ago had lumps kicked out of them, which I think makes their achievements the greater.
When you consider the play acting and collapsing at the slightest touch prevalent today.
FWIW i put top wingers as Black and Leslie. Top strikers Carter Tadman Vidler Tynan Mariner. They achieved the most goals

1. Paul Sturrock. 2. Dave Smith. Popular choices, I'd say but some other rankings should cause a lot of debate.

Adams? Fifth best Argyle Manager ... ever??!!??

Above Waiters??

Allison 15th, Pulis 16th, Ken Brown 17th and Adams is in the top 10?

Farce.

Warnock 3rd based on 18 months at Argyle and a 4th division play off win. Waiters 6th after 3rd division runners up and a League Cup semi

Apart from the above, I find it incredible that David Kemp and Bobby Moncur are ranked in the top 25 Argyle managers. I’d put those two in my worst 25 Argyle managers.

Don't know why everyone gets so het up about popularity polls. Take them with a pinch of salt.

Both Tony Waiters and Jack Rowley steered the club to promotions, a feat achieved by very few. Ellis Stuttard took us to 5th place in the second tier in 1961-62, a position never bettered in the intervening 57 seasons.

I don’t know, people seem to get very het up over the new manager poll! Perhaps they should be banned and then we can all get back to our cocoa.

Why did they not feature in our list of greatest ever managers?
(Considering what they did in their season in charge)
Responses welcome
