Swansea huge losses. Keep our finances in perspective?

Swansea have lost close to £30 million in the last 2 years.
Their turnover for 22/23 was £21.5 million. They lost £17.9. Therefore they spent £39.4 million in 22/23.
This is ridiculous.
I'd rather get relegated than run the club like Swansea are allowed to do by the extremely lax FA and EFL rules.
When we stay up on Saturday let's keep in perspective what an amazing achievement it will be with our budget and financial security that Simon Hallett insists on compared to the money madness of the other clubs.

Maybe tells a story why Whittaker was offloaded quickly to our benefit.....perhaps they needed the cash and didn't see all of the bigger picture!

It's interesting to compare this thread to ones on, say, Foster or Dewsnip or the January signings.

This is a million times more important in explaining why we are probably going down yet generates far less animosity. Clubs that bring in roughly as much money as us are spending double or triple what we do. It is beyond a joke. But people - including Argyle officials - seem to passively accept it.

I'd really like to see Simon or Andrew Parkinson make this point publicly and forcefully, if and when relegation is confirmed. We are about the only club in the division that is properly run and operates according to some kind of financial reality and as a result it is almost impossible for us to compete.

Unless they sell to balance the books.

They brought in £15m in player sales last summer and have raised over £40m in the last 4 seasons.
Thats the one area where we are still miles behind most other Championship teams
